“We always arrive where we are expected.” (Jose Saramago)

“We always arrive where we are expected.” (Jose Saramago) We are aware that one day we will all die, but today we must enjoy life. These are times of silence and some emptiness. We have to try to change what we think we cannot bear. In fact, we believe we need time to feel in silence, to silence time. “The world is in the hands of those who have the courage to dream and take the risk of living their dreams.” (Paulo Coelho) Awareness of mortality is a powerful catalyst for living life fully in the present. Wisdom lies in recognizing impermanence and, instead of fearing death, using that awareness as motivation to cultivate meaningful experiences and deep friendships in the present. As Mário Quintana said: “A life is not enough to be lived. It needs to be dreamed… It is so good to live day by day… Life like this never tires...” As the people say, “live without rushing, one day at a time.” Control your anxiety and enjoy the good things that life offers us, don't get stuck in the past or try to guess the future, live in the present, which is where everything happens. As the writer Paulo Coelho said: “We can never let each day seem the same as the last because every day is different.” Some people say that pursuing a goal means committing to a dream, otherwise it's not worth it. And this commitment must translate into effort, persistence, determination and hard work. Most people want something badly enough, but refuse to do the hard work. There is a risk of avoiding difficulty, but as a consequence, also of not achieving great goals. As Bob Marley wrote, in a quote attributed to him, “some people feel the rain, some just get wet.” Sometimes, or almost always, you prefer to believe in the good old fairy godmother or the genie in the lamp, who, sooner or later, can mysteriously appear to give you everything you want. You avoid getting wet, but the rain doesn't come out and therefore doesn't go very far. A Japanese proverb says: "Rain is only a problem if you don't want to get wet!"
