It's a shame we don't remember or don't have a memory!

It's a shame we don't remember or don't have a memory! What's most interesting isn't the contrast between what's stayed with us and what's been left behind, but the way each of us carries what's happening to us. We live in times that some, many, say loud and clear, I know some do it "quietly," that is, they do it discreetly, or silently without drawing attention! It's a shame we don't remember or, as they say, "don't have a memory"! As José Saramago said: “We are destroying the planet, and the selfishness of each generation doesn't bother to ask how those who come after will live. The only thing that matters is the triumph of the present. That's what I call the 'blindness of reason'.” Some say that what remains of “knowledge in our memory” is what happens after we forget everything we learned. To this statement, which is considered to be of great wisdom, one only wants to respond: "What can we do..." To say that what remains when we forget what we learned in school is a fascist glorification of forgetfulness. Even Einstein said that. But he said it without saying where he had read this idea – perhaps he forgot? – and the result is that many people attribute the idea to Einstein himself, or rather, as Friedrich Nietzsche said: "The advantage of having a terrible memory is enjoying the same good things many times as if it were the first time." Sometimes we set aside what doesn't interest us so that we can cling to what seems truly important to us; it's like saying or affirming that "We don't know why we forget some things and not others!" But one thing is certain: "Sometimes, or often, we forget beautiful and good things that it would have been nice to remember, or we remember ugly and boring things that it would be a relief to forget." We deceive ourselves when we think there will always be a new opportunity, but the world turns many times and doesn't always, or almost never, return to the same place, so we must have a memory, and as Walt Disney said, "And so, after waiting a long time, on a day like any other, I decided not to wait for opportunities but to go and find them myself. I decided to see each problem as an opportunity to find a solution. And since that time, I have learned that dreams exist to become reality."
