“Never give up on your dreams!” (Augusto Cury)

“Never give up on your dreams!” (Augusto Cury) We should never stop dreaming, because if we stop dreaming, no one will dream for us. As Martin Luther King said: “Yes, we can. Don’t give up on your dreams. The future is made of the past.” We still have that hug that we think heals, we all have a song that marks us and we miss something that, sometimes, is like a “good memory”, and yet it is on the difficult days that we think we lose strength and will to live, we forget that good days will come! Because they (good days) always come! “There are only two ways to live life: the first is to live it as if miracles did not exist. The second is to live it as if everything were a miracle.” (Albert Einstein) There are times when we ask ourselves how we can recover all that time that was “stolen” from us, all those desires that were left unfulfilled, all those promises that, we later learn, we had no intention of keeping? They say that “there is time for everything!” This is the biggest lie of all. In truth, the time for things is very short and there is never time for everything! But when our day comes, we will look back and say with all the pride: we did our best, we lived everything we could, we did not give up on being happy. How good it is that we never gave up! The philosopher Seneca, a Roman Stoic philosopher, once said: “Hurry up to live well and remember that each day is, in itself, a life.” Every mistake is a lesson, every failure, an opportunity to improve. And remember that success is built on a series of small daily victories, and we tend to think that our future is something very distant and that it requires a lot of planning, but the truth is that the small steps we take today are what build our tomorrow. Friedrich Nietzsche was a visionary German philosopher who challenged the conventions of his time, writing among other things that: “Nothing belongs to you more than your dreams. Sometimes people do not want to hear the truth because they do not want their illusions to be destroyed. He who has a reason to live can endure almost anything.” Be patient with yourself and recognize your achievements, no matter how small they may seem. Value each advance and celebrate your personal victories. Remember that the path to success is a marathon, not a sprint. Tomorrow's victory depends on today's persistence. By staying firm in your goals and continuing to move forward, even if only little by little, you will be building a future of success and fulfillment. And now let us remember what Martha Medeiros (Brazilian writer, columnist and journalist) said: “It is the small steps that make our path.”
