“If things do not happen as we wish, we should wish them the way they happen.” (Aristotle)

“If things do not happen as we wish, we should wish them the way they happen.” (Aristotle) Our circumstances are always changing, and since we cannot change our circumstances, we change the way we view them. We must know that humility implies recognizing one's own limitations, being open to learning from others and accepting one's own imperfection. In this way, we highlight the importance of humility as a fundamental value for wisdom, personal growth and the construction of a more just and harmonious society. As Plato said. "Humility is the awareness of one's own ignorance." Humility is a virtue that expresses simplicity and respect for both ourselves and others. It is understanding your value, without failing to recognize your own flaws. Aristotle once said: "Virtue is the middle ground, and humility is the balance between pride and submission." We cannot live in the past, we cannot live in a moment forever. We have to admit that sometimes we miss moments that at the time we thought would last forever, or we didn't even think about it. We just lived in the moment without thinking about whether there would be a tomorrow. As Fernando Pessoa said: “I always live in the present. I don’t know the future. I no longer have the past.” Some say that what keeps us alive are dreams. And those who no longer have dreams “die” inside because they stop having dreams, forgetting that to feel alive we need to dream. In general, we live the lives of others, of our children, grandchildren and everyone around us. We are happy with their happiness and whenever they achieve their dream, we forget that there is emptiness inside us. We have to promise ourselves that we will never stop having dreams, remember what Tom Fitzgerald wrote: “If we can dream it, we can make it come true.” In fact, we know that not all dreams are achievable, but within us they are. Within us, there are no impossible dreams. As Gabriel Garcia Márquez described it, “It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they are getting old, they are getting old because they have stopped pursuing dreams.”
