“Everything we are is the result of what we think.” (Rhonda Byrne - The Secret)

“Everything we are is the result of what we think.” (Rhonda Byrne - The Secret)

In these times that we now live, in general we spend a lot of time connected to technologies, we forget to live our life and we are very anxious. The reality is that we live in permanent insecurity, even when we do not want to admit it, there is between reality and fantasy, perception and projections, although everything is part of human nature, which sometimes leads us to “forget” that universal responsibility means that what happens to other people happens to us, we are responsible for that, although sometimes we do not admit it, I read this phrase somewhere, that “between being born and dying, there is the encounter with the unknown through the eyes, gesture and imagination. ”

I had a history teacher - I don't remember his name now - who on the first day of classes asked us to write the phrase “We cannot change the mistakes of the past, but we can understand in the present that we can change the future so as not to make the same mistakes errors, that's why it is important to understand and know the past ”. This phrase has always stayed with me and, therefore, perhaps, I never dared to despise the role of history and the global and predictive perspective that it presents to us. That is why we are advised that we should try to do the same in relation to science. Maybe like that, without being overbearing, we could understand who doesn't know everything about all the subjects and the path they choose is quite dangerous, although they even realize that their pages on the internet, in relation to the virus (covid19), where many are totally and absolutely wrong , became a meeting point for all those who, regardless of the reason, decided to turn their backs on science and believe in the narrative that best suits them (and there is everything: denialists, conspiracyists, selfish people or simply very tired and discerning people) lost). “Recognize the beautiful and wonderful things around you, blessing and praising them. On the other hand, don't spend time criticizing and regretting what doesn't work to your satisfaction today. Recognize everything you want, so you can receive more of it. ”(Rhonda Byrne - The Secret)

All of this does not mean that questioning what we do not understand is certainly positive and seeking answers to our doubts as well. But when we talk about topics that we are clearly unaware of (such as the use of messenger RNA), we must have the humility to listen to the explanations of those who work in the area and know much more than we do. We all know that the Internet is full of “studies that qualify as scientific”, the quotation marks are purposeful, just as we know that it is possible to arrange studies to prove almost anything we want, to do so just ignore all that contradict our opinion . But we must be aware that science, fortunately, has a method, and to reach certain conclusions it is necessary to assess the quality of all the existing evidence. As Albert Einstein said. ” Imagination is more important than science, because science is limited, whereas imagination spans the entire world. ”

In this specific case, the best evidence is on the side of the people who used and use the masks and the governments that promoted the lockdown, (the stricter version of social distance and when the recommendation becomes mandatory. It is an imposition of the State that means blockade total) and here, obviously, it is lawful to discuss the social and economic costs of this option, as this measure is the most rigorous to be taken and serves to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. "Perhaps it is not today, nor tomorrow nor the day after tomorrow. But for those who believe and insist every day - miracles happen." (Anonymous)
