There is a spring in every life: it is necessary to sing it in full bloom, because if God gave us a voice, it was to sing!” (Florbela Espanca)

There is a spring in every life: it is necessary to sing it in full bloom, because if God gave us a voice, it was to sing!” (Florbela Espanca) There are people out there who are capable of anything just to not recognize that they were wrong, or how they enter into a discussion, which in principle would be to find the truth, but they do everything just to keep their innate truth intact. For this reason, it is enough to take a look at the so-called social networks and see that there are very few people who want to think, but everyone wants to have an opinion about everything and everyone. Thinking is therefore difficult whenever it is not a question of repeating what others think or what has already been thought. There are times in society when thinking becomes particularly difficult. As Albert Einstein said: “Time is an illusion. The only reason time exists is so that everything doesn't happen all at once.” As a friend of mine used to say “it is the noise of our times”, or those who have nothing else to do or think, everything has to be as they want or they get angry... contrary to the philosopher Agostinho da Silva, who wanted to be contradicted in order to have a healthy discussion, these people do not want to hear anything and everything is reason for annoyance and censorship... they want to live in a perfect world, for them but that never existed or will exist a kind of ignorance and hypocrisy. “The joy one has in thinking and learning makes one think and learn even more.” (Aristotle) I think that we are living in times when freedom of expression, freedom to think for ourselves, freedom to have our own opinion and freedom of publication, especially in the so-called social networks, have never been, in our lifetime, under such a threat, where there are no more discussions, much less conversations, accusations are immediately made, this happens both in our country and in the so-called Western countries. All of this is felt in politics, in the economy, in our own relationships with those who read us on social media. In this scenario, social media amplifies the noise; in fact, they provide echo chambers for polarization, where extreme positions dominate and opposing points of view are attacked or even dismissed. “Everything about me is the tendency to be something else next; an impatience of the soul with itself, like an untimely child; an ever-increasing uneasiness that is always the same. Everything interests me and nothing holds me back.” (Fernando Pessoa - Book of Disquiet) I don't write for my own benefit, nor do I write out of concern for making friends or avoiding enemies. I write what I think at every moment in these times of ours, and if in the meantime I manage to grow the necessary will for us to feel like citizens of the world, I am happy to present data and emotions about human beings that many do not want to see. “The path to achieving an impossible dream is to perform a set of simple actions, continuously, without rushing, but without stopping." (Florbela Espanca)
