"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist." (Oscar Wilde)

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist." (Oscar Wilde) People "talk a lot" but "say very little," or in other words, "those who talk a lot can do little"; but there are quiet people who do nothing at all! True love doesn't need a stage; it appears in simple actions, in sincere gestures, in the "I'm here"* when no one else is. Life is too short, so value those who add to your life in silence, those who are present without warning, even without needing to be seen. As José Saramago said, "Let's not be in a hurry, but let's not waste time," and the idea of the Roman poet Horace (1st century BC) in his Odes, in the complete phrase carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero ("seize the day, trusting as little as possible in tomorrow"). The expression carpe diem becomes a motto for our lives, which warns that life is short and should be enjoyed intensely at every moment. Horace's advice can be summarized in the famous "Carpe Diem," which means "seize the day," emphasizing the importance of living intensely in the present, focusing on the opportunities and pleasures of the now, because the future is uncertain and life is short, making the most of the potential of the present moment instead of worrying excessively about tomorrow or lamenting the past—a philosophy of enjoying life as it happens, according to the Roman thinker. "There are only two days in the year when nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, therefore today is the right day to love, believe, do, and above all, live." (Dalai Lama)
