Here we have Rui Rio who promises everything, forgetting that he is heir to a time when his partners at the time only took measures to impoverish the country. In these times when in developed countries the way to apply taxes on wealth and companies is being studied, namely in the United Kingdom they will increase the IRC on the largest companies in the country to 25% in 2022 and in the USA, Biden and Yellen also promised to increase taxes on companies, putting them at the pre-Trump level, Rio's proposals for our country is that of “reducing taxes on companies”, keeping taxes on people…..forgetting that the most It's people and not companies that matter. It makes no sense for capital gains to be taxed lower than labor income. They are richer and still have lower rates. As Adam Smith wrote, "The wealth of a nation is measured by the wealth of its people, not by the wealth of its princes." In these times of enormous uncertainty, there will also be great opportunities, and let no one think that it is enough to “go back to the past”!

Por cá temos Rui Rio que promete tudo, esquecendo-se que é herdeiro de um tempo em que os seus parceiros de então só tomaram medidas para o empobrecimento do país. Nestes tempos em que nos países desenvolvidos se estuda o modo de aplicar impostos sobre a riqueza e as empresas, nomeadamente no Reino Unido vão aumentar o IRC sobre as maiores empresas do país para 25% em 2022 e nos EUA, Biden e Yellen também prometeram aumentar os impostos sobre as empresas, colocando-os no nível pré-Trump, as propostas de Rio para o nosso País é o da “redução dos impostos sobre as empresas”, mantendo os impostos sobre as pessoas…..esquecendo-se que o mais importante são as pessoas e não as empresas. Não faz sentido que os ganhos de capital tenham uma tributação mais baixa do que os rendimentos do trabalho. São mais ricos e ainda têm taxas mais baixas. Como escreveu Adam Smith .”A riqueza de uma nação se mede pela riqueza do seu povo e não pela riqueza dos príncipes.” Nestes tempos de enorme incerteza, também será o de grandes oportunidades, e que ninguém pense que seja suficiente “voltar ao passado”!
