I am the size of what I see! (Fernando Pessoa

I am the size of what I see! (Fernando Pessoa)

We live in the “time of the unthinkable”, where only the oldest are able to assess the true dimension, because they have already witnessed various stages of life. The present challenges us to forget the past and when looking to the future we no longer achieve what once seemed right. We have doubts because we are human and fear or fear will be !!!!!, in this uncertainty that is always present. All of this is inevitable, even if it is the big and unexpected events (good and less good) that make life memorable and occasionally exciting, it is the small and predictable routines that keep life together and are worth living in these times when time no longer has time for itself.
There is an unknown of what is not seen, but that can lurk around every corner. We have to be aware and respect others, not do what we do not want others to do for us, because only in this way we will win. “There are only two ways to live our lives. One is to believe that nothing is a miracle. The other is to believe that everything is a miracle. ”(Albert Einstein)
We must all know or be aware that this life is not a test, not a step, not a step on the way, not a rehearsal, not a prelude to paradise. This life is the only one here and now, and the only one we need and, to be aware that life does not stop to choose the path we want to follow. We almost always have a strong tendency to remember what we should forget and forget what we should remember. We must learn to listen to people and not just listen to them, do you know the difference? When we listen, we are attentive to the content, we are able to feel what the message conveys. Hearing is just the sound of words entering our ears ...... and nothing else! We have to value what we do and our role in society. Perhaps this is why someone said that "men should be remembered, more for their attitudes than for their words, more for their successes than for their mistakes, and more for their virtues than for their defects."
There is nothing more frustrating than creating expectations about something that we don't even know yet. All people have been through this at least once in their lives, and that is precisely why we have learned not to rely too much on what is (yet) not real. We need to be proud of our particularities and not spend our lives just trying to copy what is alien, and before leaving pointing the finger at the attitudes of others, before criticizing and judging the people around you, stop and just listen… .look… think ... and reflect. It is in the management of our memory that one of the biggest secrets is to be able to live our life, with joy and peace, grateful for another day. ” They make us small because they take away from us what our eyes can give us, and they make us poor because our only wealth is seeing. (Alberto Caeiro, in "The Keeper of Herds - Poem VII" Heteronym of Fernando Pessoa)
