“Hurry up to live well and think that each day is, in itself, a life”. (Seneca.)

“Hurry up to live well and think that each day is, in itself, a life”. (Seneca.) There are moments in our lives that should be eternal. That's why we must take the reins of time, exercise gratitude and "taste" the moments that give us pleasure, as José Saramago said, "let's not be in a hurry, but let's not waste time". Sometimes we find ourselves thinking that “we need more time”, time to “exist” beyond this “time”, enough time to decide what to do with the time we have. Because, as Benjamin Franklin said, “lost time will never be found again”, and this leads us to not always have this notion, we need to give importance to the value we have and enjoy life, but also take control of it. The same is true of time: while assuming that it is inevitably unstoppable, “time takes everything, whether we like it or not” (Stephen King), we should try to take the reins and not let it dominate us. In one way or another, we all go through this, and sometimes, or almost always, we forget that our “existence” has a “beginning” and an “end”, and we have to know how to live as the “interval” between two, perhaps that's why “the problem is that we think times are always time”. (Buddha), and we never think or believe that we are finite. Fernando Pessoa said that “the value of things is not in the time they last, but in the intensity with which they happen. That's why there are unforgettable moments, inexplicable things and incomparable people.” We all feel, at times, without a horizon for the future – even though Fukuyama’s prediction has not been confirmed nor history has come to an end… – we dance like silly cockroaches to the sound of an orchestra that only knows old arias, out of tune and lacking. and sometimes we find ourselves, having lunch or having a coffee and thinking about the problems we have to solve and the things that afflict us, having difficulty concentrating on the present and not thinking about the future, (also known as suffer in advance). We've all had these difficult experiences. This is part of our passage, in the interval between the “beginning and the end”. Regarding the passage of time, and taking poetry and poetry seriously, it is impossible for us not to remember Álvaro de Campos (Fernando Pessoa) and his poem Aniversário: “At the time when they celebrated my birthday, / I was happy (……..…)". I suppose it's like that for everyone, or as Paulo Coelho said: “There is only one way to get rid of bitter experiences: “live in the present. Always enjoy the now.” As the famous phrase immortalized by the hippies says: "Today is the first day of the rest of my life".
