“We do not stumble on big mountains, but on small stones.” (Augusto Cury)

“We do not stumble on big mountains, but on small stones.” (Augusto Cury) There are those who say that “life is a play that does not allow for rehearsals. Therefore, we sing, cry, dance, laugh and live intensely, before the curtain closes and the play ends without applause.” (Quote wrongly attributed to Charles Chaplin.) In reality we live in difficult times, and we fully agree, that we are going through times of “human stupidity” (televisions and smartphones are considered the greatest contributions), despite the current youth (at least least until the age of 30) is the one with the most education, which does not mean that “culturally” she is the most evolved. Enjoy the now, don't leave it for later... you may run out of time. We have the perception that this is the case, but due to omission or forgetfulness we do not practice it in our daily lives. How many of us dedicate at least 10 minutes to reading and reflecting every day at the end of the day? Confucius said: “Carry a handful of earth every day and you will make a mountain.” However, we always have time to turn on the television or go to our smartphone and take a look at the various so-called “social networks”! In fact, we all have those moments when we need to stop and think about life! We can never forget that life is made of movement, even when we are still, something is always happening around us.” We can believe that all life will offer us in the future is to repeat what we did yesterday and today. But, if we pay attention, we will realize that no day is the same. We can never let each day seem the same as the last because every day is different, because we are in a constant process of change.” (Paulo Coelho) This comes in reference to an article I read today, “In the most Western mentality, work is not everything. For the Chinese, it often comes first.” in the magazine “Visão” (nº 1629 on pages 26 and 27), and it ends like this. “ The achievements happened when I started to realize that I didn’t want to be a “cool boss”. I wanted to be a boss who generates value, pays good wages and manages to create an expectation of growth for all workers. … It gives me pleasure to do things and feel that they are going well… I want to go far with a good family structure, good friends, good relationships, without stepping over anyone.” And to finish, here is this quote from the Chinese artist Weiwei “If today we know much more than we used to, we end up stuck because we are unable to act. I think this is the big problem in modern society: we think we know too much, but we act too little.”
