“There are five steps to achieving wisdom: silence, listen, remember, go out, study.” (Arabic Proverb)

“There are five steps to achieving wisdom: silence, listen, remember, go out, study.” (Arabic Proverb) Today is one of those days... This will pass... I hope it passes, that it's just one of those days and nothing more... It's just another day when little happens, almost nothing is seen, but a lot is thought! Today is one of those days when all we need is a hug that warms our hearts. Maybe yes maybe not!!! "Never give up to be happy. Always fight for your dreams. Be deeply passionate about life. Because life is an unmissable show.” (Augusto Cury) Sometimes it can be frustrating when others don't seem to hear us and we may assume that our message has not been communicated effectively. However, it is possible that some people do not want to listen to us, no matter how direct or sensible our message is, even if we have repeated it several times. In fact in most cases we should never assume that they don't care. Most of us are distracted by our own thoughts. “The lesson is this: never give up, never, never, never. In nothing. Big or small, important or not. Never give up." (Winston Churchill) Today is just another day... As Albert Einstein said: “Time is an illusion. The only reason time exists is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.” For all these reasons we must increase our level of demand, we cannot expect others to do what we need to do, as this way we will avoid many disappointments. Patience is one of the greatest virtues explored in the phrases of the book “The Art of War”, through it, some decisive victories will come at the right time and with the right reward. “Those who know when to fight and when to wait triumph.” The other day, I read somewhere that: “We must have many more doubts than certainties about almost everything.” However, the only certainties we must have are those related to the importance we attribute to the values we cultivate, that is: ethical sense, respect for others and their cultures and convictions, solidarity, individual freedom and respect for the truth. As Fernando Pessoa said, here in the heteronym better known as “Álvaro de Campos”. “We are the gap between our desire and what the desires of others have made of us.”
