“Tenho em mim todos os sonhos do mundo.” (Fernando Pessoa) Por vezes, creio que todos passamos por isso, no nosso tempo de vida, os nossos sonhos mais parecem um “castelo de cartas”, com um pequeno “sopro” desmoronam-se!!! Há no entanto, uma realidade que fica sempre para lá da nossa imaginação, pois nem sempre nos apercebemos que a nossa imaginação vai só até onde a gente quer, mas nunca vai até à realidade. Chegados aqui temos que admitir as nossas interrogações – o que é que estamos cá a fazer? O que é que andamos cá a fazer? Há momentos que a vida nos ensina a ser dois, sendo um e vice-versa. Porque nada é mesmo tão simples. Como dizia William Faulkner: “A sabedoria suprema é ter sonhos bastante grandes para não se perderem de vista enquanto os perseguimos.” Todos temos a percepção de que a grandeza de um ser humano não está no quanto ele julga saber, mas no quanto ele tem consciência que ainda não sabe, talvez por isso tal como disse René Descartes tenha tomado a decisão de “ fingir que todas as coisas que até então haviam entrado na minha mente não eram mais verdadeiras do que as ilusões dos meus sonhos .” Sendo que os sonhos não determinam o lugar onde vamos chegar, mas produzem a força necessária para tirar-nos do lugar onde estamos. Em tempos li (não posso precisar onde, nem quem o disse) que “ os humanos são os únicos animais que entendem que não são imortais”, tal, que fique bem claro, que não temos a intenção de mostrar a que seja esta uma “verdade”, mas talvez seja uma aproximar da verdade do que já existe dentro de nós, pois como disse William Shakespeare, “sabemos o que somos, mas não sabemos o que poderemos ser.” Temos que reconhecer que tudo isto, para além de nos poder inspirar, pode mudar a nossa opinião sobre diversas coisas da vida. Por vezes, ou quase sempre, as palavras vão ajudar-nos a descobrir o grande poder que temos para viver a nossa vida com tudo de bom que o mundo tem para oferecer, no aqui e no agora, já que como disse Anaïs Nin:“A nossa vida em grande parte compõe-se de sonhos. É preciso ligá-los à acção.” Nestes tempos, como sempre noutros tempos, muitas pessoas ainda não perceberam que o presente é tudo o que temos e “esquecem-se” de aproveitá-lo. O passado é um conjunto de memórias que faz parte da nossa história e personalidade, e o futuro é uma expectativa de promessa de realização e salvação - em ambos os casos, é uma ilusão. De acordo com Tolle, o caminho mais seguro para perder tempo na nossa vida é acreditar que o futuro é mais importante do que o nosso momento presente. Reconhecer e apreciar o presente instila nos nossos momentos um senso mais simples de qualidade de vida, carinho e amor. “Não sou nada. Nunca serei nada. Não posso querer ser nada. À parte isso, tenho em mim todos os sonhos do mundo.”(Álvaro de Campos/Fernando Pessoa) Podem tirar-nos tudo , mas nunca poderão arrancar os nossos sonhos, quando estamos dispostos a acreditar neles. Precisamos fechar os olhos e olhar para quem somos, procurar usando a alma e não os olhos, os ouvidos ou as mãos. Podemos aprender muitas coisas sem mesmo nos darmos conta disso. Como disse Fernando Pessoa: “Matar o sonho é matarmo-nos. É mutilar a nossa alma. O sonho é o que temos de realmente nosso, de impenetravelmente e inexpugnavelmente nosso.”

(Fernando Pessoa) Sometimes, I think we all go through this, in our lifetime, our dreams are more like a "house of cards", with a small "blow" they crumble!!! There is, however, a reality that is always beyond our imagination, as we do not always realize that our imagination only goes as far as we want, but it never goes to reality. Arriving here, we have to admit our questions – what are we doing here? What are we doing here? There are moments that life teaches us to be two, being one and vice versa. Because nothing is really that simple. As William Faulkner said, “The ultimate wisdom is to have dreams big enough to keep track of them while we chase them.” We all have the perception that the greatness of a human being is not in how much he thinks he knows, but in how much he is aware that he does not yet know, perhaps that is why, as René Descartes said, he made the decision to “fake it” that all the things that had hitherto entered my mind were no more true than the illusions of my dreams.” Since dreams do not determine the place where we are going to arrive, they produce the necessary force to get us out of the place where we are. I once read (I cannot specify where, or who said it) that “humans are the only animals that understand that they are not immortal”, so that it is very clear that we do not intend to show what this one is “ truth”, but perhaps it is an approximation of the truth of what already exists within us, because as William Shakespeare said, “we know what we are, but we do not know what we can be.” We have to recognize that all this, in addition to being able to inspire us, can change our opinion about different things in life. Sometimes, or almost always, words will help us discover the great power we have to live our life with all the good that the world has to offer, in the here and now, as Anaïs Nin said:“ Our life is largely made up of dreams. You need to link them to action.” In these times, as always in other times, many people still haven't realized that the present is all we have and they "forget" to enjoy it. The past is a set of memories that is part of our history and personality, and the future is an expectation of promise of fulfillment and salvation - in both cases, it is an illusion. According to Tolle, the surest way to waste time in our lives is to believe that the future is more important than our present moment. Recognizing and appreciating the present instills in our moments a simpler sense of quality of life, affection and love. "I'm nothing. I will never be anything. I can't want to be anything. Apart from that, I have in me all the dreams in the world.” (Álvaro de Campos/Fernando Pessoa) They can take everything from us, but they can never take away our dreams, when we are willing to believe in them. We need to close our eyes and look at who we are, search using our soul and not our eyes, ears or hands. We can learn many things without even realizing it. As Fernando Pessoa said: “To kill the dream is to kill ourselves. It's mutilating our soul. The dream is what we have that is really ours, that is impenetrably and unassailably ours.”

We must respect what others do and decide, because it can be, what usually happens, is that, sooner or later, we end up doing what we criticize so much. “Before you start the work of wanting to change the world, go around your house three times.” (Chinese Proverb) In fact, in many situations, we do not put ourselves in the shoes of others. We understand that our vision is the only valid one and this prevents us from seeing further and understanding other different perspectives. We have to be able to accept that we are not always right and that we can be wrong to judge someone's actions wrongly. On the reasons for the disorder in the world, our Father António Vieira (1608-1697) was able to clearly define not only the two main categories that would allow order to be replaced by chaos, but also the respective priority between them: "They embraced justice and peace, and it was justice that first contributed to this embrace. Because it is not justice that depends on peace (as some take as an excuse) but the peace of justice" (Sermon at the Burial of the Bones of the Hanged People) What is happening in Ukraine is a terrible tragedy for humanity, as it is happening in other parts of the world and which can extend to a European or even a global level. I don't think anyone can question this statement but, paradoxically and astonishingly, few seem to understand (or even dare to imagine) what it might mean for their own lives. What is currently being called a “single thought” actually has such effectiveness, due to its constant repetition in the media, that it clouds any more critical spirit or prevents others from pointing out “that the king goes naked”, and quoting Cardinal Richelieu “There are no innocents wherever there are guilty”. As we have seen in these times, simple things can become complex, truths can be confused and misrepresented and lies can take on unimaginable proportions. The successive untruths, repeated over and over again, do not become the truth If we repeat things without worrying about their veracity, we are only helping to make this a world where lies and truths are easily confused. “Politics is the ability to predict what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month and next year. “A alma sempre tende a julgar os outros segundo o que pensa de si mesma”(Giacomo Leopardi) O mundo seria muito melhor se, em vez de estarmos sempre a julgar os outros, deixássemos os outros dar também a sua opinião. Devemos respeitar o que os outros fizerem e decidirem, porque pode ser, o que acontece geralmente, é que, mais tarde ou mais cedo, acabamos por fazer o que tanto criticamos. “Antes de começar o trabalho de querer mudar o mundo, dê três voltas dentro de sua casa.“ ( Provérbio Chinês) Na realidade em muitas situações, não nos colocamos no lugar dos outros. Entendemos que a nossa visão é a única válida e isto impede-nos de ver mais além e compreender outras diferentes perspectivas. Temos que ter a capacidade para aceitar que nem sempre temos razão e que podemos estar enganados a fazer um julgamento de actos de alguém de forma errada. Sobre as razões da desordem do mundo, o nosso Padre António Vieira (1608-1697) soube definir com clareza, não só as duas categorias principais que permitiriam substituir o caos pela ordem como também a respetiva prioridade entre elas: "Abraçaram-se a justiça e a paz, e foi a justiça a primeira que concorreu para este abraço. Porque não é a justiça que depende da paz (como alguns tomam por escusa) senão a paz da justiça" (Sermão ao Enterro dos Ossos dos Enforcados) O que está a acontecer na Ucrânia é uma tragédia terrivel para a humanidade, como está a acontecer noutras partes do mundo e que se pode estender a nível europeu ou mesmo mundial. Julgo que ninguém pode pôr em causa esta afirmação mas, paradoxal e espantosamente, poucos parecem perceber (ou ousar sequer imaginar) o que isso pode significar para as suas próprias vidas. Aquilo a que actualmente se está a designar por “pensamento único” tem na realidade uma eficácia tal, pela sua constante repetição nos media, que tolda qualquer espírito mais crítico ou impede outros de apontarem “que o rei vai nu”, e citando o cardeal Richelieu “ Não há inocentes onde se quer que haja culpados”. Como temos verificado nestes tempos, as coisas simples podem tornar-se complexas, as verdades podem ser confundidas e deturpadas e a mentira assumir proporções inimagináveis. As sucessivas inverdades, vezes sem conta repetidas, não se tornam verdade Se repetirmos coisas sem nos preocuparmos com sua veracidade, estamos apenas ajudando a fazer deste um mundo onde mentiras e verdades se confundem com toda facilidade. “A política é a habilidade de prever o que vai acontecer amanhã, na semana que vem, no mês que vem e no ano que vem.
