 Como dizia Pablo Picasso “Há pessoas que transformam sol numa simples mancha amarela, mas há também aquelas que fazem de uma simples mancha amarela o próprio sol.” 

Às vezes parece que nos faltam as palavras para descrever a relação de afecto com os nossos “peludos”. Com o meu “júnior” – é o nome do meu cachorro - eu posso sair de casa várias vezes ao dia, mais sempre quando regresso e chego a casa, parece que é a primeira vez que meu “júnior”  me vê nesse dia! 

Já não sei se é pela espontaneidade com a qual me recebe ou se é pela verdade que ele tem no seu olhar. Não sei se é pela forma tão afectuosa de dizer (sem falar) que para ele não existe pessoa melhor em nenhum outro lugar! Não sei se é pela fidelidade com a qual é capaz de esperar, sem se importar, embora queira muito “dar uma volta”, se é pelo tempo que uso dedicar-lhe. Simplesmente não sei. A única certeza que eu tenho é do seu amor, da sua dedicação, da sua lealdade etc. Mas, alguns dirão – é apenas um cão?

Na verdade é apenas uma cão! Mas, talvez foi  por isso talvez que um dia Vinícius de Moraes disse que :“O uísque é o melhor amigo do homem, ele é o cachorro engarrafado.” Temos que reconhecer que o olhar do nosso cão é o melhor espelho onde pode se ver a grandeza da nossa alma.

 “Apenas um cão” deu à minha vida a verdadeira essência da amizade, da confiança, da pura e irrestrita felicidade. “Apenas um cão” faz aflorar a compaixão e a paciência que fazem de mim uma pessoa melhor. Por causa de “apenas eu cão”, eu  levanto-me todos os dias bem cedo, faço caminhadas e olho com mais amor para o futuro. Porque para mim - e para as pessoas como eu - não se trata de “apenas um cão”, mas da incorporação de todos os sonhos e esperanças do futuro; das lembranças afectuosas do passado; da pura felicidade do momento presente porque tenho a oportunidade de poder viver a vida. “Apenas um cão” faz brotar o que há de bom em mim e dissolve meus pensamentos e as preocupações do meu dia. Eu espero que, algum dia, as pessoas entendam que não é “apenas um cão”, mas aquilo que me torna mais humano e me permite não ser “apenas um homem”. Então, da próxima vez em que escutar a frase “É apenas um cão……..”já sabe o que isso significa!!!

 As Pablo Picasso used to say: "There are people who transform the sun into a simple yellow stain, but there are also those who make the sun a mere yellow stain."

Sometimes it seems that we lack the words to describe the relationship of affection with our "hairy". With my "junior" - it's the name of my dog ​​- I can leave the house several times a day, but always when I return and I get home, it seems like the first time my "junior" sees me on that day!

I no longer know if it is because of the spontaneity with which he receives me or if it is because of the truth he has in his gaze. I do not know if it is because of the affectionate way of saying (without speaking) that for him there is no better person anywhere! I do not know if it is because of the fidelity with which he is able to wait, without caring, although he wants to "take a turn", if it is the time that I use to dedicate him. I just do not know. The only certainty I have is your love, your dedication, your loyalty, and so on. But, some will say - is it just a dog?

It's really just a dog! But perhaps that was why perhaps one day Vinicius de Moraes said that "whiskey is man's best friend, he is the bottled dog." We have to recognize that our dog's look is the best mirror where you can see yourself the greatness of our soul.

 "Just a dog" gave to my life the true essence of friendship, of trust, of pure and unrestrained happiness. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. Because of "just me dog", I get up every day early, take walks, and watch with more love for the future. Because for me - and for people like me - it's not about "just a dog", but about incorporating all the dreams and hopes of the future; of affectionate memories of the past; the pure happiness of the present moment because I have the opportunity to live life. "Just a dog" brings forth what is good in me and dissolves my thoughts and worries of my day. I hope someday people will understand that it is not "just a dog," but that which makes me more human and allows me not to be "just a man." So the next time you hear the phrase "It's just a dog ...... .." you know what that means !!!
